Microwaved foods retain more vitamins and minerals than foods cooked by other methods because they can cook more quickly and without adding water according to FDA. The nutritional value of foods is only reduced when foods are “overheated” in a microwave oven.

Food Fact 1




Salt, our oldest preservative, was extremely rare in the past. So rare, in fact, that it was often used as pay. Imagine...earning a couple of tablespoons of salt for a hard-days work. Today, salt is so common that restaurants give it away for free, and packaged food contains so much that it's far too easy to eat too much salt (salt is also known as "sodium").

Cooking Tips 1

Here are some very basic tips but yet very important for getting off on the right foot in the kitchen.

1. Always wash your hands with warm water and soap before any kind of food preparation. You may need to wash your hands several times as you cook, especially after touching raw meat, poultry (chicken and turkey), fish, and egg products.

2. An apron is a good idea if you want to keep your clothes from getting dirty

3. Assemble all your ingredients in one place before you start.This will helps you a lot. Believe me :-)

4. Please read the recipe first before you get started . This will prevent you from make mistake and also become panic when you start cooking

5. Now you ready to cook. Good luck
